Dpes anyone know the easiest way to make a game like THIS? cause I know it's pretty cookie cutter, but I think it would be easy to one-up it. anything you guys can think of?

Hhmmzz.. looks straightforward enough. Just your basic browser-based RPG.

PHP with MySQL is how these are typically done.

pretty basic to learn, then. right? I think it said it was done in javascript somewhere, but I dunno... wouldn't java be an applet type thing?

Javascript is pretty much nothing like java its a SCRIPT

javascript can't do a game like that, at least if it was multiplayer (I didn't check). But I'm assuming it is because Omegavolt said MySQL and javascript doesn't have access to MySQL (not that I know of at least :/) and if it does, it won't be secure.

PHP is pretty basic to learn and MySQL is just a utility kinda thing. You don't need to master it because you'll have PHPmyadmin or something.
