It's not even related to anime in the least..
Some items are in a way reminiscant to anime, but to be honest if you took those items, spruced up the graphics, and put it in the times they fit.
The only thing that keeps everything from really linking together is Dyes.
None of it except maybe the silly promotional items are linked to items. and the only silly promotional items we have are related to beaches, futuristic stuff, and etc.... soo..
and I agree, anime does suck on a true basis.
