Swords or Kodachis?

I see an even amout of people using swords and kodachis running around the place. I tried kodachis once...but i didnt' like it for butterflying...maybe i was just too noob back then =X. well, tell me what you guys think about swords vs. kodachis

I've never tried using kodachis so I can't really help on this one.

I've used swords 95% of the time.
Daggers 5% of the time.

Kodachi 'is' faster. That's why it has less attack than that of a regular sword. Intruth the Kodachi 'can' be stronger if you master its use. Many use it for the butterfly technique, scares newbs shitless(even though butterfly is usually defenseless if you observe how the person uses it. I ussually stand still abit and never get hit by their shotguns. They never expect you not to move.), the Kodachi Combo(Where they jump, charge, and basically jump and slash around you. Real annoying if they get you in a corner since it's so fast), and other stuff.:cool:

Yea but which is better slower attacks and high damage or faster attacks and "medium" damage?

Kodachis in my opinion make wall cancelling the easiest thing to do in the world,

if you're going to b-fly, kodachi's just add more weight and do less damage, the only thing they're good for is ground combos, making noobs afraid, and uppercut movement (since you jump in the air you can move forward while you uppercut)

however, if you plan on b-flying (which you should) both weapons will go as fast as you can butterfly them. Swords weigh less and do more damage in a hit. You get no bonus hit from kodachis in butterfly thus making it no contest compared to a sword.
