He noticed the man grabbing his key, so he stepped back and allowed the man space enough to enter through. Megaton seemed eerilly quiet during this early morning buzz. Sure, the water processing plant had been waging war with the wastes and the pipes were always springing leaks, but the newcomer who replaced Shepard's friend Walter could get around and fix them. But, of course, this wasn't as important any more, what with Aqua Pura. But the shipments weren't always on time so it was still very important to have your own supply of water.

Shepard had been lost in his thoughts a bit while he watched the man fumble with his keys.
