After laying down eighty caps and grabbing the ammo, he pocketed it and started to leave.

Shepard looked down towards the girl, and smirked a bit. After leaving his name on a piece of paper and handing it to Hanibal, he turned on his heel and walked out of the store to go find the new water processer operator. He had decided to take the long way around, near Lucas Simm's old house. To his dismay, he saw the door open. When he came closer, he saw the body of no other than Harden Simms on the ground in a pool of blood.

Immediately he alerted the protectron outside to what had happened. It then sent warnings of a shooter on the loose across it's speakers. The megaton settlers began to move towards their houses, and lock their doors.

Meanwhile, Shepard started to look around the crime scene for some clues as to who did it. He noticed at once that Harden's hat and glasses were missing, so he decided to start looking out for a cowboy hat.
