So what if they came out with a new version? For those who don't have a DS then they can have the newest model with more features. For those not wanting to spend a bunch of money for a few improvements over the system they currently have, then you don't have to. All DS games are compatible with any DS system so as long as you have one of them you are good to go. This isn't anything new guys; companies have been coming out new versions of their systems for...ever. What the new DSi is bringing is a vastly improved handheld compared to the original model which is damn near obsolete.

Eventually, these new DSis will go down in price and then there won't be much to complain about. So for a person who's never had one to begin with, they get to enjoy all the games that are out and upcoming on an improved version for not that much more (maybe less than or the same) than the original price depending on when they get one.

Companies only make money if people buy their products though. You guys don't have to buy a new anything as long as the old one still does what it needs to. No reason to miss out completely though because you refuse to spend the same amount of money to get more features than people did years ago for less.

I can see what you guys mean, but there's always another way to look at it.

and the SNES came in different versions btw.
