You misread. I was stating that, in general, they keep re-releasing handhelds and consoles with all of these new features and whatnot, most of which tend to make SOMETHING obselete. AKA "sup brah, we put more stuff in your stuff so you can spend your money while spending your money".
I'm not saying games are being solely made for the new reiterations either, just that some of the newer games obviously show they were slated more towards the higher RAM release. I don't know if you have played Nostalgia yet, but it suffers from a few severe slowdowns. There are a few others as well, but that is one of the newer games that has been released.
