"Chase...I-BOOM!"
Jumping up in shock, sword in hand, he drastically looked around his room for a intruder, yet there were none.
"What in the hell was that?!" He rubbed the stubble on the side of his face for a second, then looked at a candle...instantly causing him bolt for the door. Touching the knob for a second, not expecting it to be as cold as it was he instantly drew his hand back. "The knob, it's cold..."
"Bris-"*Cough*Cough*Cough* "This crap gonna' kill me."
He steadied himself, taking large breathes, closed his eyes and focused.
"Brisingr Eitha!" The spell had a sudden eruption of power, too much to be controlled, he couldnt move, all he could do was watch as the door was brutally knocked off his hinges by a explosion, the 3" door screws went flying in every which way, one buzzed closely through the air almost hitting him.
The door flew about 5 feet from where it stood into the hallway, although it flipped sideways onto its back, it revealed a broken doorknob, when the other was intact, this sparked another concept.
Checking his hands, and reassuring himself he wasn't dead he stepped into the hallway, looking both ways to make sure noone had seen him. He began to examine the door, and think of a possible alibi
"Hmm, how'd exactly did my doorknob go missing?" Rasing a eye brow, he looked around and spotted some broken pieces of iron, picking one up he noticed it was cold.
"Its cold, thats for sure, but how..I had a warding spell enchanted into it..."
Then he looked down the hall and noticed a bead of water fall onto one of the wall-mounted torches, causing it to ripple.
"BY THE HAIRY BALLS OF THE GODS!" He shouted in exclamation.
Too busy to care if anyone had seen or saw him.
"there was a mage of water element here, its the only way. They must've seen my ward and neutralized it." Rubbing his chin, he made his way towards outside. smiling and laughing to himself the whole way.
His sword, which was left on the ground began to grow crimson red once more, it could be seen, it was a beacon of crimson light in the dark room, it glowed with a malicious intent, then it cool and darkness took its place once more. Strangely, every candle that was lit in the room extinguished shortly after.
