Mal'ak was not surprised at the Dryad's tone. No matter. He was a blood assassin after all. He turned his back on the Dryad, and seemed to walk back the way he came. Instead, as soon as he'd turned the corner, he summoned the power inside him, and whispered the words his master had thought him. Light bent away from his person, while vibrations in the objects he touched were immediately muted. Now, he was invisible, and could not be heard. Satisfied, he followed the Dryad again, though he kept his distance.
