It's really that they rather have someone they are familiar and comfortable with to avoid unnecessary wipe. Find some people to play with and after you've established yourself, you'll be asked to tank so much you end up not logging on and hiding on alts.
Anyone that thinks any game that doesn't come from Blizzard itself will come close to beating WoW is wrong in the noggin.
