The US version just announced the cb out of nowhere and unloaded keys. Which is fun and great for players and the devs, but we all know how an overpopulated cb can be. Only time will tell and in the end they are more than likely identical games besides the different language localizations the EU version will probably have. In any case, I will be trying both of them out and deciding which to play based purely on the community.

True.
But did you think of it this way?
If you live in the EU, and you're playing the US server, most of the people who play the US server (Americans and such), will be sleeping while you're playing.
Which means, if you join a guild and they have a whole schedule for raids and dungeons, you will most likely not be able to attend to those raids/dungeons, since it's like 4 AM in your timezone.
And vice versa, of course.
