Nox finished his milkshake. Obviously Serenity wasnt done with her cake. He decided to make his way back up to Empire State Building, before day break came. Once the sun rose, it would be pretty difficult for him to get back without rousing unwarranted attention. He walked into the alleyway, and took off his trenchcoat, crumpling it up into a ball. "This may yet come in handy," he thought to himself. He spread his wings their entire length, then took off into the night. He flew as high as he dared go, and just when the air started getting thinner, he leveled off. From this angle, he was in front of the moon,which seemed larger tonight than he had ever seen it. He turned his back to it and flapped hard, making his way back to the empire state building. When he got near, he noticed 2 of the people who Jump had brought up sitting by themselves. They seemed to want to be left alone. So Nox flew to the top of the spire of the building, and landed there, shielding his body with his wings, looking all the world like a sentinel gaurding the slumbering city.
((btw, i could resist saying this, cos serenity is eating cake, but, THE CAKE IS A LIE!))
