Actually pc gaming is not dying because of pirates. They have been saying that since the early 1990s. Pirating software has been going on even in the 1980s.
Also pirating for consoles is just as easy. It's just console users are usually not as tech savvy as pc gamers on that sort of thing.
I do agree pirating takes away from some of the profit but it is not crushing the pc gaming industry.
pirating is like theft and businesses have to account for them. If you ever get into a managing position of a business you will know that they have to make certain predictions on loss in profit due to many circumstances. One of those is theft.
I am not trying to say piracy is good all I am saying is that it is not going to end pc gaming.
There are too few in ways to stop it anyway. A company might waste lots of money with a new security program but people will eventually crack it. It seems like the only major way to solve pirating is to make online games that require a specific key.
