Oh, forgot about the main series, this one is just a anime adapated version of the manga side-story of To Aru Majutsu no Index. This one just began its anime adaptation on October 3, 2009.

The side story entitled To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲?, A Certain Scientific Railgun) started serialization in Dengeki Daioh[3] in May 2007. The story tells of the events before and during the time of the novels from a different perspective from the main character, Mikoto Misaka and her friends. Currently, three volumes have been released.
