Charlie shook his head, "You guys may want to get slaughtered, but didn't you learn anything from what happened to the Shield?" He looked up at Nox, "I remember you from The Shield, you seemed smart. My bad."
He began to walk away when he saw a future...
Vision:
Charlie stood in a city, he couldn't make out where. He walked through a street, it seemed quiet, the whole area was bathed in an eerie glow.
Suddenly a girl, possibly as young as seven, appeared in front of him. Her eyes shone with power, she held a knife, the knife dripped with blood. Charlie felt a pain in his chest, he looked down, a knife was embedded there.
He looked at the girl, "Why are you showing me this?" He asked softly, whoever she was, this girl was controlling the vision.
"Stay with them," Was the reply, "Help them, they'll need you." A tear fell from her eye, "We need you all, save us."
The vision faded, Charlie opened his eyes and released a breath he hadn't realised he was holding.
He turned back to the others. "Fine, I'm in."
