The game is not in top form. That is why people are suddenly thinking that WoW is going die in a few years. But we're dealing with Blizzard here. How powerful is Blizzard in the PC-gaming industry? Think about it. If they were able to gain 11 million subscribers, ELEVEN MILLION gamers putting their time into one game; wouldn't they be able to save themselves from the crisis of a game losing popularity? Blizzard isn't going to lose out on such a profitable game so easily. You can say that Allods or Aion will come and finish off WoW, but honestly compare these corporations to Blizzard. Where do they stand? It's admirable that their trying to promote their game as the next big thing, but you cannot have that mindset of "OH Allods is awesome, WoW stands no chance".
Ever heard the term SWOT? It's a business term, and as a Global Business/Marketing double major I can easily say that WoW isn't going anywhere in a long time at this rate. The spreadsheets don't lie, I believe it'll have to take some technological advance in MMO gaming to overtake WoW. Even then Blizzard won't be too worried, they'll be on the forefront with other platforms to use, they made other great games other than WoW afterall.
