Annalise (pronounced Ah-Nah-lease) nodded her head as she listened to her ipod, Maximum the Hormone nearly blowing out her eardrums, what her mother always complained. Well, her stepmother, she had recently found out her mother was actually not her mother. It didnt really phase her though, she had realized that her mother-er stepmother had looked nothing like her. But she still loved her.
That was besides the point, her real mother had sent her a card, well a package. It had contained a pamphlet to a camp, the name was lost in her memory somewhere, she didnt really care. Her real mother had signed her up, which Anna thought was extremely rude. Her whole life, not a visit, not a call, not even a note! But the camp was free, looked great on a college resume, and would help destroy the boredom that shes felt the past year. Something just felt wrong, and going here, it felt right. No matter how cliche that sounded, it was true.
"We are here," her stepmother smiled, shaking her shoulder. Annalise smiled back, hopping out of the suv and heading to the back, pulling out her large bags and suitcase. "Be good now, ya hear?" Anna always laughed at her stepmothers accent, another thing they didnt have in common. "i will," she replied, crushing herself into her stepmothers chest. "ill miss ya little Nali." Anna choked back the tears that her nickname brought. "I love you too mom." She hugged her one last time before her stepmother got back into the suv, waving, and driving off.
Anna took a deep breath, noddding, and turned, and started off toward the bunks, glancing at her pamphlet every so often to not get lost. When she arrived, she noted the large sign labeled "Goddesses" and snickered, she remembered the camp now, 'Camp Greek.' "Someone is big on mythology." she whispered to herself and she used her key, which was enclosed with all of her pamphlet items, and opened the wooden door with a click.
The room was cabin was a lot larger then it seemed, and she glanced around for her bunk. Her name was above the top one on the right, the covers and pillows pink and white. "color coding?" she wondered out loud, seeing as how there were bathrooms along the back, each with the 2 colors on the door, matching the bunk combonations. There were also small kitchen like areas, colorcoded as well, and study rooms in the back. "OCD much?" she shook her head, putting her suitcases and bags on her colorcoded bunk and starting to unpack her clothes into her colorcoded dresser.
