A lot of professional players actually use a intelli. Its what they grew up on so they are very used to it.
To me DPI does not matter aslong as you can fling the mouse and it doesn't move to the top of the screen like those old mice did.
I've used a g5 g9 intelli mx518 etc etc, I find I do best on my mx518 even though it isn't the technical superior one out of all them. You just need to find a mouse your comfortable with and then let practice + muscle memory do the work
