I look around all the game dev forums and a lot of posts are asking what languages/jobs the person knows. I figured that it would be cool if there was a section that you fill out when you register that tells other people what languages you know and what job you do in creating a game. The best place to display it would probably be under the name or the post count.
Another thing that I think might come in handy would be a forum that works kind of like a global portfolio. Each person can post a topic (that no one can respond to) on that forumthat acts like their portfolio. When people ask for examples of their work and such they give them the link to thier topic with all their previous projects, screenshots, ect. These are just some ideas. I don't know if they are practical for this forum or even feasable so don't shoot me down :P. Last edited by 4rch4ngel; 09-05-2006 at 03:56 PM. |

Your first idea isn't bad, it would help alot if people didnt have to ask over and over again what languages you know
As for your second idea; alot of other forums have something similar to this. For example, "www.allakhazam.com" has a journal-type forum (for each person) that they can write about anything in. |
