Talking

((OOC: FROMtheGRAVE, you aren't giving us enough time to respond. Please keep in mind that not everyone lives in the same time zone. Also, Nanzuri's hair is simply grey/gray; no brown at all within it. ))

Stepping aside so that Anthony could greet Revun, Nanzuri tilted her head to the side as she noticed Anthony's strange behavior. From the way he twirled his body this way and that, it wasn't difficult for Nanzuri to figure out he was looking for something. Of course, it wasn't until Nanzuri blinked and went to tighten her grip on her weapon that she realized it was no longer present. Baffled, but not one to worry much about stuff, Nanzuri simply shrugged and turned her attention to Rayne. The news he delivered to everyone made Nanzuri frown with disappointment and loss of hope: the illusion she tried to construct in her head was shattered. Suddenly, the pain dealt to her right leg, back, and several other minor wounds came back to her, making Nanzuri wince in pain. Had she been through what people called an adrenaline rush? Whatever it was, it had blocked out Nanzuri's suffering up until now.

"Owie, my body hurts! Even the slightest motion feels like I'm being shot with needles! Wah, this really isn't a dream!"

Without so much as rising her head, Nanzuri managed to stick out her tongue at Rayne for treating them all like sand in the wind. To him, it didn't matter if they were blown away and eventually evaporated into nothing. He even treated their brave actions as mediocre and not even worth praising (the monster was apparently very weak, at least to Rayne). His words brought so much anger into Nanzuri's heart that she laughed when he said he would give them an explaination. If everyone they encountered were as heartless as him, Nanzuri didn't want to meet them. Unfortunately, things in the world -- or rather, realm -- that they were in didn't allow choices.

***Inside the candle lit room***

"Aaauuuooeeiiiiii!" Despite the fact that Nanzuri was only hit with a bright light, she felt as if her eyes had been severly damaged.
"Wh-what was that? Eep, and why do I feel so heavy?!"

Nanzuri hears someone say that their name was Alistair, but at the moment, her body was being squashed by something much heavier than her. When the weight was finally removed, Nanzuri found herself being helped to her feet by an apologetic Revun. Confused to how he fell on her, Nanzuri spots Rayne not too far away. Just as she was about to yell at him, though, her eyes travel between an elderly man and Rayne in the process of bowing. Once Nanzuri realized that the old fellow was of a lofty status, Nanzuri hurridly bowed, her back much further down than the others. Unable to process what the elderly man inquired of Rayne, Nanzuri decided to straighten herself, stand with poise, and not be her usual, goofy self.

"It is a pleasure to meet you, Hogosha Mitsukai."
Her voice was calm and as gentle as flowing water.

***Nanzuri makes a connection with the titles before Mitsukai and Rayne!***

"Hmmm? Hogosha...Mitsukai... Did he address himself with his last name first? Uhh... I better just use the full name when speaking to him. Of course, it could be an alias. Wait, that guy who was abusing that other guy was named Alistair? Focus! Hogosha Mitsukai just called Rayne 'Kyaputen' Rayne. Kyaputen...Kapten...CAPTAIN! It sounds like captain! So, then...Hogosha...hm, doesn't become an english word I know, but it could be exactly what captain is: a title! That means... Mitsukai is grandpa's name! Yes, I figured it out!"

While Nanzuri bathed in the accomplishment she made, her ears heard something about Guardians and a birth mark on her wrist. Gazing down at her dominate hand -- her left one -- Nanzuri scanned the area just above it. Puzzled by not being able to find it, Nanzuri slowly locked her gaze upon her right wrist, which bore a unique birth mark. She then listened to Mitsukai's story about Becilia and how there was some kind of war between the demons and the Guardians. If Nanzuri had connected all the dots correctly, Mitsukai was basically calling them the light that protects Becilia from the dark, or the demons. During the process of the young woman with white hair contradicting Mitsukai's tale, Nanzuri noticed that she was being introduced to yet another person.

***Nanzuri greets Kayla and asks about the ranks of Guardians!***

"Huh? Oh, I'm sorry! Kayla's a beautiful name."
Nanzuri offered a bright smile before continuing.
"Basically, we all arrived in this magical gate and met this powerful, yet uncaring man named Rayne. It seems he left us to defend ourselves against a fiend of fire and malice, which turned out to be a low levelled demon. After that, Rayne used some blinding light technique and we arrived before Hogosha Mitsukai. All of these people and demons beyond the gate exists within the Midoru Yochi, or spirit realm. We are Guardians chosen by birth to fight off the demons before they can enter Becilia -- these birth marks on our right wrist proves it! Um...and that is about all that Hogosha Mitsukai and Rayne discussed..."

Once the long explaination was finished, Nanzuri turned around and waved her hand in the air, almost like an anxious student that wanted a teacher to call on her. Once Hogosha Mitsukai made eye contact with her, Nanzuri asked the question that had been on her mind for the longest time.

"May I ask what the titles are for the Guardians? I want to understand how everyone is ranked, and, if it is possible, how to increase that rank. You called Rayne Kyaputen Rayne, but he only told us that his name was Rayne. Would you be so kind as to fill my head with the knowledge that I lack?"

Nanzuri was no different than Anthony and the young woman with white hair. There were things about what was happening to her that she didn't know if she could accept or not, but...if this really was her reality, Nanzuri wanted to do everything to not make it a tragic one.
