Name: Basil Lake.
Age 15
Gender: Male
Room: 114
Appearance:
He is rather well trained from the constant practice he had for baseball before, not exactly gym muscular trained but more slim. He was healthy colored from being out on his free time, but because of the time he has been spending indoors in the home makes that hardly show anymore. His eye color is a very light blue, which is what most people maybe would remember him by if not for his missing left hand. He wears an old gray shirt with too long arms for him, they are usually rolled up but he rolls the one on the left side down when his friend “goes to sleep” as he puts it. And on his face there's always a serene smile, as if nothing could possibly worry him. Which not much can do now anyway.

His hair is brown and pretty long as he seldom get an haircut, he would do it himself but sharp objects are hard to find and the personal aren’t too eager to get close to him. As an result his hair gets over his eyes which he wished it would stop doing.

He wears jeans which are slightly gray and old, no longer being the stiff things they originally were but comfortable, though they are beginning to get a bit short around the ankles as he has grown. This making an odd contrast with the too large shirt.
For footwear he just wears three socks over each other, making them thick enough to almost serve as normal shoes.

Psyche-Form: In his psyche form his lost hand is restored, glowing slightly silver. But it’s not just back, it has an personality of its own which it constantly shows by talking with the mouth on the palm of the hand. His shirt draws itself in, fitting perfectly. His skin, though hard to see gets just slightly darker, just the same as before he was sent to the home. His hair sets itself in a ponytail, getting rid of it around his eyes.

Background: He lived in a very expecting family, always getting belittled by his parents whenever his grades weren’t good enough for their taste, and he wasn’t bad in school really, he had the average grades that most of the people in his class had. Though despite his parents ridiculing him he was cheerful, he had baseball which he loved and was pretty good at, this was the only thing his parents ever admitted him being good at as well.

Often he would just practice swinging the bat himself in order to get even better for the next match, in his mind he even thought he might become a baseball champion one day. Obviously that did not happen, when walking home from practice he lost his left hand in an accident where a car lost control, managing to jump but it driving over and crushing his hand in the process. After his release from the hospital he tried to ease everyone’s worriesby starting to study harder, which his parents of course approved, and keeping up a cheerful attitude to his classmates.

Though secretly he went deeper and deeper into depression and that plus the effort of seeming as cheerful as his old self eventually broke him. The mental stress won over him and his whole being dropped into misery, the outer and inner side.

After several therapist visits, which only reminded him what was wrong with him he just got worse until eventually he went so down into the pool of despair he emerged upon the other blissful side of it, starting to talk to the missing space of his arm as if there was actually someone there, no longer seeing it as a loss but as having gained a new friend. This of course unnerved his parents even more, so they were very pleased when they found “happy home” and sent him there for his own good as they put it. Though sometimes you can ask if he even cared, as long as his friend is with him he’s alright. Though he admits to missing the outside.
