It says you can return to the location you used it at... but how do you do that??

You mean amulet of return.

Wing of return when you click on it sends you to your spawn point (Milano town) after you use a wing of return you can use an amulet of return which sends you back to the place you used the wing of return... that way you dont have to walk back.

yup, you need both of them, but yu can buy wing of return for 300gold and amulet of return for 600gold
