FPS is just like "Action game" these days. With the dawn of the internet and everything, people decided shortening things/less terms are better so that we all have to type less.

For the love of god, just look at the words. There are no conditions to them other than Massive, Multiplayer, and Online. Along those lines playing Super Smash TV on an enormous Super Nintendo while talking on aim is playing an MMO! The fact that you actually give a damn about whether it is or isn't is simply a testament to your ignorance! It is entirely arbitrary!

i think its to ones own opinion,and dont trust wikipedia to state anything, its just anothers own opinion. No point in being a little whore about what is an MMO and an MMOFPS, to each his own. Massive can have different values and meanings to different people.

Yes, the world "massive" can be viewed differently by people. However, we all know what MMO is meant to describe. Games such as WoW, CoH/V, etc. Where a large amount of players share the same environments. Its why the term exists. To catagorize games and provent confusion. However, some argue that these terms can mean many things, which they do not and shouldn't. Confusion = bad. So MO suits Gunz fine. 16 players is not massive.

Well for one, it annoys the hell out of me when someone starts a thread titled "Free MMOFPS ZoMgZoRz!!!11eleven". I open it up hoping to find news of a free MMOFPS, only to have the thread starter talk about WarRock or AA...
