Should I not worry about upgrading equipment until after my first job change?

That would be a waste to upgrade during adventurer unless you are trying to upgrade rarity. Rarity is cheap unless done numerous times because it hasa a high chance of breaking things and gives things a slight attack/defence boost. The best it can go is Legendary. You can upgrade the + about lvl 21 if you want it to be abit easier. Rarity should be done with extra equip or dmged equip. (You upgrade rarity at the "Life is a gamble" guy.)
