Yes, the infamous Foxconn, as much as I hate them for their worker abuse, I have to accept that you CANNOT get away from them. They monopolize a lot of things, such as the USB ports on the motherboards, or the motherboards for the iPods.

Well as for the differences, brands use different parts. For example, HP, uses Asus motherboards, while Dell, probably uses Intel motherboards or a generic brand. HP may use Infineon(a popular generic brand), while Dell may use Samsung RAM. And so on, these differences alone can determine how much better the laptop is, but is often overlooked, because they generally either have no branding on the parts, or they put a sticker over the OEM sticker.

Casual gaming on it is fine but you usually have to go the extra step to get cooling pads and maybe an external monitor for a better gaming experience.

Alienware is extremely overprice but thats the best if you want to go into the gaming field with a laptop.
They are good in the gaming laptop field, and I am most likely going to get one when I go off to college in a few years. Either them or and MSI. Asus is way too thick for my taste.

But Alienware, overpriced in laptops, not so much, they may be a bit more expensive, but they have better cooling, well on the modern models at least. Plus, you can send it back to upgrade it, assuming they have the parts in stock.
