a gd 3d game thats f2p is ferentus and MU, i prefer ferentus over MU, i usualy only play MU when ferentus is down and when i want to take a short break of playing ferentus.

i recommend looking at ferentus when ever the website and server comes bak online but u can always try MU in the mean time.

there both 3d but ferentus has nice graphics and a good leveling system when u do quests, also u can move the camara in all directions, MU is 3d but the camara is in 1 place at all times with decent graphics.

and by grind do u mean constand boring leveling? it will get to a point where u have to but then when u get a few levels and get to this new place u caan do some more quests, the second u start the game u can start ur quests which i realy enjoy which alot of other people do cos there not repetetive,
u can get exp with cash rewards and sometimes rare items which u cant trade or sell to ppl which stops the expliot of easy cash.

ive played for maby 1-2 months and im still not bored at all and im usualy very easyily bored of alot of games, but MU i only been playing a week about and all i no of on that is to level, dunno about quests but i got told the only way of making money is to kill to find items and sell or trade with ppl.

As an ex wow player myself, I've found DDO online to be a change from the hack and slash grinding bullshit that seems to creep in every game. The three best things in DDO ive come across so far are :

1. Each class really does have its own use in instance's, rogues are used to detect traps and pick locks, along with search for hidden doors that lead to objectives you and your party need to compleate in order to get exp. You gain no exp what so ever from killing monsters, its pretty anti-grind . For the main objectives in the instances, you'll only get exp once you have finished the task, which makes there a point to getting to the end. Theres also a nice icon in the corner called finished, basicly after your done you click finished and you "recall" out of the instance to the entrance saves time running back and forth.

2. Friendly community, I always thought that judgeing a game from its community is seriously wrong, as you surely cant play with everyone. However as D&D the pen and paper game has been around for a few decades the community tends to be at the ages of : 24-35. Plus the game features a built in chat program, so no need to piss around with teamspeak and vent.

3. Graphics, stunning they are seriously great, im running it at 1360 by 768 (using a Tv / monitor so i can still use my 360 with out being able to move with every setting hit at very high, and AA x4 and im yet to see a mmo as pretty.

If your bored of the normal grind of each game, and want a change I would seriously reccomend giving DDO online a try. Despite the bad reveiws and people saying it was a disapointment ive found it to be pretty damn good.

Edit : Fuck I do sound like a nerd in this post, beleive me im not :P
