I am looking for a game similar in respects to Illarion (http://www.illarion.org/). For those that don't know, or are to lazy to click the link I provided, Illarion is an MMORPG (Who'd have thought it?). But it's not your typical grind and PvP, it's forcused less on stats and more on Role playing in general. The only problem is that it's in Java, and lags... a lot. So I was wondering, are there any other games out there like this?

I'm willing to take anything, the only place I draw the line at is Browser or MUD-based. I do enough of those already. As long as it has SOME graphics, I'm fine. Though I wouldn't say no to one with great graphics

OH i love doing these.

Lower End Graphically MMORPG's:

Runescape ( www.runescape.com )
Illutia ( www.illutia.com )
Orgre's Island (gonna have to google that one)
Maple Story ( www.maplestory.com i think)

..THere are probably some other ones, but i don't focus on those that much.

Higher End Graphically MMORPG's:

Anarchy Online ( www.anarchyonline.com )
SilkRoad Online ( www.silkroadonline.net )
Those are probably my two favorite.

Mmm, the irony. I've played all of those you listed, but none of them really focus on Role playing rather than grinding.

All the request really is for is for an MMORPG where you actually Role Play most of the time, and doesn't focus on stats much. Illarion is great, but the Java limits it, making it hard to move, and most of the time I can't find many English players, mostly German.

I've already tried PlaneShift as well. Nobody really is in that game.
