Hyperthical situation:

You spend hours upon hours every day farming for money and loot, and after all that, you end up with piles of gold. Then some noob whore comes along and says "gold plz".

Do you give them your hard-earned gold or not?

Oh hell, here we go again. I don't see what's wrong with the WoW community, out of all of the MMOs that I've played it's by far the best. Even in my first few weeks I met new people, talked, completed quests and just had fun. At level 10 I joined a guild, and I'm allready well known withing it not because of my level or amount of money, but because of how I act, which is how it should be.

Today I started my Duskwood quests and went over to Raven Hill cemetary, a favorite place for level 60 Horde characters to gank level 26s. When one came, so did an Alliance 60 to help us lowbies out, and I talked to him. he then helped me out in a few quests and we both have each other on our friend lists. Mind that this is a level 27 and a 60, and that this is in the Alliance.

Also, if you beg, you will be hated. Simple rule of MMOs. Just play the game like everyone else and you'll find your riches.

I have 2 level 60s (Horde rogue, and Alliance pally) And I have to say, horde community is ALOT better. And on the terms of gold, I almost never have more then 10. Even when I get 50+ gold I usally have to restock my comsumables, another 20 major potions(Which are 7-12g per 5) runecloth bandages (10 bandages for 3g) or repair bills (Varies, but usally costs around 5g every raid)

You'll be totally ignored until lvl 50 and beyond, which can take a very long time to reach unless you have a decent guild and some friends (goodluck with both.)
Oh, and if you're a "begger" or someone without a credit card, really, just avoid begging, the majority of rich players have all the items they need, and a hell of alot of gold left over (between 500-5000 gold) but oh hell no, they wont even take a second thought about giving you even the simplest amount of cash (such as 50 silver) you'll get flamed, spammed, and abused.
really, the majority of lvl 60's relate WoW to real life, and shit, they will commit suicide before loosing even the slightest amount of gold (unless it aids them in some form or way), if you liked runescape's "go do it yourself noob" comunity, you'll absolutely LOVE this game.

yeah just another thing, i have random lvl 60's challenging me to duels, then calling me a newb for backing down.. im lvl 27 for god sake, what do they expect? me to own them?
Holy shit! What server do you play on? I play on the unofficial Australian server, Proudmoore and the community isn't bad, in fact its great. Everyone willing to help out and such, although i belong on the horde side.
