I have decided to try my hand at the official servers of WoW now. I wanted to know if the game allows new players to slide in without having to work their asses off. I already know the community can be quite bad at time, but I have some old friends that I am going to play with so I won't have that issue quite as bad. So community aside, is the game new player friendly? Can I join the game without being drastically behind? I do have a bit of knowledge of the game due to other methods of playing.
Will it be enough?

Well depends what server you play on. You'll be very far behind if you join a server that was up on the first day wow was released, now if you joined a server that was brought up not to long ago there will be many people around your lvl.

The great thing about WoW is that there is ALWAYS a whole BUNCH of people playing it. ALWAYS.
Everyone is always making new characters, so you don't have to work too hard. Also the majority of the game is pretty friendly and will be quite willing to help. Don't expect people to just stop what they are doing out of nowhere and just help you. But still. Whatever. |
