I've been trying to download the 10 day trial, and everything was going smoothly, I made an account, but the installer just moves extremely slow.

I configured my firewall, but I really can't be sure what else I can do.

Help?

EDIT: I forgot to mention the problem: the installer moves at the rate of the snail. Takes about 15 mins for 1%

If you talk about the Blizzard downloader. Its always been slow for me. I've been using the alternate mirror sites: http://www.blizzard.com/support/wow/?id=aww01810p can take you to the patches and the sites where you can get them. As for the patching, that'll always take some time.

If you are INSTALLING FROM THE DISCS then yes it does take a while.

What are you talking about? Are you talking about the Blizzard Downloader for the patch or the Game Installation itself.

If its the Game Installation and you're going at the rate of 15min/1% rate, i think theres something wrong with your discs or you have a very very crappy computer.

If its the downloading of the patch, look for mirrors like Mirage suggested, or disable the peer-to-peer option to see if it helps.

If its the patching and you are patching it for the first time, then it would be extremely long, but it shouldn't be that slow.

WoW is a huge game and does take a while to load. i own it and its great. only problem is it took like a day to get it fully installed lol
