religion quick facts? - General

I jsut kind of want to know about some religions, besides any form of christianity, without having to sift through miles of wikipedia pages. can someone please post the ideals and values/beliefs of your religion? Cause I don't really understand any religions...

I'm not really one, but I know a fair bit about wicca from reading.

Wiccans worship the Earth Mother, or Goddess. She is not a personification of the earth, or a god of the earth, she is the earth itself, and all that grows from it. Wicca is actually a fairly new religion, based on the pre-Christian wisdom of several ancient tribes in Europe, mostly Celtic. Its followers sometimes practice witchcraft, which I know very little about. They also believe in something called the Burning Times, when many witches were burnt at the stake. This never happened, but w/e. Basically it's respect and reverence for nature and its creatures, and a return to ancient gods and wisdom. Oh, and Wiccans are usually pretty tolerant, believing that all deities are personifications of the Mother Goddess.

In practice, they're mostly women, and a lot of them are goths.

there are sooooo many religions, i can't tell all of them lol...

people even worship stones,trees,frogs.... TOO MANY!!!!!

but, like the ones you know about just quick facts, and I always thought wiccans practiced like, summoning crap and stuff, good to know...

Quick Christian Fact:
If it's the 1400's, you're christian, and you have a split personality with Monty Python, you get to use the holy hand grenade. Just like the ones those kids were using in the weird(and slightly disturbing) christian school vid.

well, i am currently a christian, but i don't think that is a religions.

in my opinion, there is a different between religion and faith. like me, faith is like believing something surely. like i am really really sure that God exsits even though many people don't. however, a religions may not be a belief, people could be forced to join a religions, and it's more than likely a gang or a guild.

i am just believing, nothing more.
