every class has thier advantages. dervish is just another meleemancer. its really strong armour level, melee attacks [slower], sythe skills, and earth/wind prayers which give it an advantage. its weakness is range. no ranged skills, where mesmers can use empathy, clumsiness, signet of midnet to just completly shut it down. especially with distortion.

Scythes attack slow. The only real threat I see is their elite forms. And they're like elemental touchers if they decide to use their Prayers. Solution? Kite, or kill them when they're attacking something else. Their scythes work best when they attack large groups, but like zenith said, use empathy to triple the benefits of the hex.
Blind cripples them as well, with most meelee classes. But you'd think meelee classes learn to counter blind with a signet by now .Work on their weaknesses. Dervish looks more inclined for crowd control. So spread out, or kill them fast. With them in it's gonna take alot more for us assassins to prove ourselves.

actually let me redo this. warriors are still the tanks. they've got higher armour levels and higher hit points. the key with the dervish is that they're got slower weapons [no hate to them im a dervish too] but they use mytiscism? [sorry im just a kidd : ) ] to receive more energy when enchantments end and health too. and they need enchantments to be removed to use more higher damage sycthed attacks and when the enchantments are removed they gain more energy and health. they practically use heart of holy flame for damage and as an enchantment, and with another sycthe skill they'll do the attack with more damage and loose the enchantment which gives the health and energy. people se monk protection skills cause they're got some nice enchantments [reversal of fortune] and that'll give the health and energy boost. dervish primary attribute :
MYSTICISM? - gives one energy and three health for every enchantment lost. so if its 12 thats 4 energy, making reversal of fortune practically 1 energy, blocks attacks, and does good damage combined with the sycthe attacks. just my study : ]

they do alot of dmg because there good like that. Jk. Its mainly based on the build you use. For me a D/MO usin prot skills works well, however, Dervishes still shouldnt tank.
