Ok...how do I not be shy? It's not exactly a self-esteem/confidence thing. Girls think I'm good looking, but who would want to go out with someone that's boring and never talks? <_<

I think about the future too much instead of just talking. I always think about what people reactions would be. And a lot of people say "Don't think, just act." Well it's pretty hard to do when I think so much.

So OnRPG, how can I be a more social person?

you seem to be like most people. You have your mouth shut and your eyes dead, and you just think. There is nothing wrong with this you just need to learn how to talk a bit I guess, and at the same time people have to accept that you are always thinking. One thing I do more than any one else I know is think about the little things and learn about anything, and now all my friends are amazed at how I can give input about any topic and can talk about almost anything. What you need to do is just start talking, it doesn't matter the topic, hell with my friends we talk about love, compassion, philosophy, games, school anything and everything. So you should be able to do the same. I guess if you want help we need more information. Age, groups, what you do when others talk, what you think about instead of talking, if it is just another topic in ur head or if u have some reason for not saying anything. A topic is anything just remember that .

Its simple really, be daring and just... do something outgoing. You've gotta take that first step, then you just go with the flow. 8)

do something crazy, something big enough to get attention from a LOT of people

if you are able to do that, then you should be able get over your shyness

play a huge prank on the teacher and get punished and get everyones attention and thats when ure social life takes a turn thou i wun do that

When you think of something funny to do, just do it. Don't think it over, the aftermath you'll imagine will probably be too embarrassing, and if you do choose to follow it through, the time will have passed. Keep doing it, and pretty soon it'll become a habit.

True, you don't have to change yourself just to fit in, but you can't exactly have serious relationships when you're really shy and quiet.
