Default Is 512 Mb of RAM enough?

I know that's the minimum requirement but do I need more? I keep freezing in Ironforge.

i don't own WoW but one thing i kno is that you'll need a sik graphic card for it and a lil more ram than 512; it shouldnt be a suprise that it is lagging because it 512 is the minimum requirements

JUST BUT ANOTHER 512 RAM OR 1 G RAM THEN YOU'LL BE ROCKIN WoW

later

Even if I did get more RAM I don't know how to put it in... I know very little about computers.

You will do fine with 512. You will lag in major citys and maybe large raids but I wouldn't know cause I havn't gotten that far yet. And you don't need a "sik" graphics card to run WoW. You can get one that would run it fine for like 70-100 bucks.

With 512Mb of RAM you could do fine, but there is 1 setting that you will want to turn down. The terrain distance from medium to max hardly makes a difference. I suggest you turn it down to medium and you will get way better frame rate for hardly any visual loss. As for the freezing, that shouldn't be a RAM problem because until Christmas I am running it with 384Mb RAM. That could be something to do with another piece of hardware.

from my experience, 512 to 1gig makes a huge difference for gaming. 1.5 gig of ram is even better . Heck the new computers nowadays would require 2gig of Ram for Vista.

I used to play with 512 ram, everything would be great until i entered Orgrimmar.
However, after awhile of lagging, it gets a little better and i can walk around with very little lag in Orgrimmar.
