omfg you guys got to look at this, it's xbox 360 vs ps3 graphics, you move your mouse over to the screenshot to view the ps3 version, don't forget to click next on the bottom of the page to view the screenshot for a different game.

i think that the ps3 has better madden graphics as well as need for speed carbon, but the call of duty 3 screenshot, the xbox 360 won that one as well as marvel alliance thing.

heres what i think in my opinion

ps3 wins:
need for speed carbon
madden
nba 2k7
fight night round 3

xbox 360 wins:
call of duty 3
marvel alliance thing
tony hawks project 8
tiger woods

also if you look really closely on the edges of the letters of cars on nfs carbon, you could tell the ps3 has sharper edges on the text and cars.

and if you look at the last screenshot for nfs carbon and compare, you could tell that the buildings on the right has more texture and more reflection off windows for the ps3 making the ps3 the winner! in my opinion.

I've seen this article posted online before, and it's been debunked by experts. The essence of it is: it's bullshit.

The reason: all of these cross-console games were developed for the 360. And ported to the PS3. If you think that any of them look better on the PS3; it's your imagination. They're direct clones of their Xbox counterparts, and they're not even ported extremely well- some of the games suffer lower framerates on the PS3. (There may be some exceptions, some games that come out later on the PS3 may use more AA or something similar, but this is in essence a fact.)

The fact is that, the PS3 is significantly more powerful, technically, than the Xbox 360. It has the potential to make games that look significantly better, and run significantly better.
But there's more to it than that: how well a game runs, how well it looks- that depends completely on it's developer. Lately, the PS3's been getting flamed a lot by 360 fans because Gears of War, a 360 title, looks better than anything currently out on the PS3. But once again, the fact is that the PS3 could easily run this same game, just as well, if not better, had it been initially developed for it.

Right now, for years to come- 2, 3, maybe 4, you're not going to see games that graphically reflect the peak of the console, or come anywhere close to it. You're going to see games that are graphically as potent as the developers can make them.

i aggree with you aru! the ps3 owns! the ps3 will conquer! i hate xbox 360 and wii!

I saw this about a week ago. The graphics aren't as good as the XBOX360s yet because the PS3 has just been released. Developers haven't had enough time to tap into the PS3 yet. Don't get me wrong, the XBOX360 is a good console but in the long run the PS3 will take the crown back. RFOM already uses 12Gbs of space (correct me if I'm wrong). With games that big, the PC and PS3 will be at the top with the XBOX360 right behind. I left out the Wii because Nintendo doesn't seem to target the hardcore gamers. Wii is more on the casual side.

yeah plus they said taht the ps3 just release and they haven't find a way to make the cell processors run at their maximum ability and later on, they will be able to make the ps3 do that and the xbox360 will suffer from lack of power

...I never said the 360 or Wii sucked.

I'm just stating the facts... EA has even stated that all current games currently out on the PS3 use 20 percent of its' power at most.

I disagree with Gamespot. I think PS3 won most of these.. Also I think the Tony Hawk portion should be taken out. I mean, on alot of those shots it's as if someone added an extreme amount of light... Also, it looks as tho XBOX covered up its bad graphics with darkness.

Just so you guys know, the xbox 360 does have a more powerful graphics chip in it than the PS3 does, while the PS3 has a better processor. Graphically, the xbox360 and PS3 will produce about the same as eachother anyway, ported or not.
