This is basically another Vietnam. although the terrain is different and theres fighting between the U.S, Shiite and Sunni. The method of fighting is the same. Guerrilla warfare on wage upon all three groups.

This is actually a bit different. The insurgents realize that all they need to do is make this war cost more than we can pay up, and then we'll be gone. Think of it like the American revolution, that's how we won.

same thing the Vietcong and North Vietnam did, keep fighting till the Americans grew tired and pull out.

the americans pulled out of vietnam because there were way too many casualties, we had helicopters and jets to support us but whenever we drop the bombs and napalm we end up killing some of our own troops so we pulled out because we didn't know how to fight the war in the jungle and that we couldn't afford to have any more casualties going on

the viets were small people around 5ft only. And they used that advantage in the war wherein they had a huge network of caves and tunnels used that span for miles. And they lived there.

As for the casualty figures of the US, if you look at the ratio, then US casualties is minimal compared to the death of iraqi's since the start of the war.
