well, i was reading the Plans page on my internet provider today and i noticed there was no longer the maximum speed of 1.5mb and plans such as 256kb and 512kb instead i was amazed to see; 256kb, 1.5mb, 20mb. hooray for australia! one step closer to modern civilization!

Most people aren't even using 1.5. 768k is really all you need, the difference between the two is so minimal it's not worth the money.

well, 700kb x 2 = 1.5mb, so basically you're saying double the speed isnt that much?

fastest in germany is 64000k i think

but gratz anyway, welcome in the "fast internet league"!

but theres one thing you should know: faster internet does not mean better ping!

and astaroth change those numbers to MB when its kb it makes it sound so big at first i thought it was mb my eyes opened wide lol

Yah, thats ADSL 2+, its been planned for a year or so. Last time i checked max speed should have been 24mb though.

Congratulations on being able to multiply. I'm sure you learned that in public school. My point was that the difference between the two is barely worth noting. A page loads .2% faster for twice the cost! So worth it!
