How to play GunZ with a router??

Hey all i just downloaded GunZ but when i try to play everyone has 999 ping and i cant see anyone or really do anything. i think it might be my router can anyone help?

lol my cousins have router and they can only play gunz at mornings and evenings.. because when its night they lagged like hell..

u should try playing it at morning

It's either you bought a bad network thing, you are in a bad location, or there's a connection problem between the network and the router. So, I don't know how to help you now, but it would give you ideas to look for.

Ok well i used to be able to play it absolutely FINE with my crappy 128k ISDN but ive just got a new 1.5mb connection and also a network setup in my house and just doesnt work anymore

my router is a Netgear FVS318.

Toyz, are you kidding me? How many times do I need to ban you before you get it? Either come up with an original name so I can't easily figure out who you are every time, or STOP ban dodging.

Its probably the earthquake that messed up your router connection, try after 2-3 weeks when they fix the damage the earthquake did to the internet connection.

To kfckaykay, im aussie we dont have earthquakes here. To nzrock im not sure how to port forward my router.. do you know of any tutorials?

http://www.portforward.com - click on Common Ports(or something like that) and search for GunZ. Click on it and it will take you to the routers section where you pick what router you are using and it will show you a guide on it.

If you're using 56k, uninstall GunZ now. Or it could be you're far away from everyone in that game.
