STEP1
Your computer needs to support east asian language support. This can be done in the regional and language settings of your pc. Choose second tab LANGUAGE and tick the box INSTALL EASTASIAN LANGUAGES. This requires the windows cd, if you havent got one go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...F38E8#filelist
scroll down and select JAMONDO.exe. I think that helps.

The other tool from ms u should get is this MICROSOFT APPLOCALE you can find it here http://www.freefunfiles.com/software...e-utility.html Install this and you only need this at the very end.

Thats all you need to fiddle.

STEP2

Now you can go on to register your account. You must use the Internet explorer to do this, firefox wont work properly. So start your IE and do this.
Go here http://www.clubhanbit.jp/member/join.asp

type an email adress and proceed.

click again.
Now keep using internet explorer and check your mail.

open it and allow it to be displayed fully. If it doesnt look like below try another email provider.

that will let you continue your registration

click to proceed

fill in as explained, clcik to proceed to this

MAKE SURE YOU WRITE THE LETTERS IN THE COLORFUL BOX AT THE BOTTOM IN CAPITAL LETTERS JUST LIKE THE PICTURE SHOWS YOU else you wont be able to proceed properly and keep being relayed to the page before. In above example it is I4QBSX1, and not i4qbsx1!!! its case sensitive. And remember not to make your password longer than allowed, else you cant log into the jp homepage later on

successfull registration

last window, you dont need to do anything, you can just close it!

Now go to granado espada homepage http://ge.clubhanbit.jp/index.asp

log in to test your account. Click there to go to client download section. Use Internet explorer when u want to get the client!

click the blue box obviously, if plug in requests to be installed let it install.

Now all you have to do is wait a night, the bandwidth you dl will increase over time.

If those download links do not work for you, jirome has kindly posted alternative links for the 1.96.9 client and the 2.0 test server.




STEP3

Installation is simple, you can choose any location on your harddrive-it doesnt have to be on C drive. Once you have done that use the ms applocale you installed earlier. Choose the granado espada.exe on your desktop. Select the last language in the list.

then let it make a new shortcut to start granado espada in future.

STEP4

Once you run granado espada exe you get to this

NOTE: the options under gamma are to do with the quality of water render. Left is best quality, the other 2 are lesser quality.
After you did your setup run the game


login and choose sever 1-6

The quests to gain more charakters and to be able to control them (MMC) no longer are required. Im not sure if u can make your team with 3 chars right from the beginning, but you should be able to after you get out of the tutorial ship. Just try making 3 chars when you fell like it.

Ill post more stuff later. All i can say is look around talk to npcs with an exclamation mark etc.

The Tutorial Ship

To get off the ship you dont have to do anything except, talk to the people with exclamation mark. After that youll be zoned to the first town.

The first town Port of Coimbra

I havent figured much out here but it seems you cannot go outside to lvl here. To get on with the game go find the fat white mayor of the city, he stands on some stairs near the docks.
Talk to him. Then talk to him again to zone out to the next town where you can start to lvl etc. You can always come back to this harbour town.

Run around to npcs with exclamation marks above their head. More about each later. Youll figure the first things out by trial and error. Thing is you can go outside and start to lvl.

I was searching for info on current GE updates and found this thread to be at top of search engines, I even remebered my onrpg login to write a reply to my own thread I started in 2007. Wow.

Jge was the best fun ingame I had, man was I addicted, after I hit Expert with Gracielo I got banned with the guildies, as foreign access is against the TOS. Why did I have a expert Gracielo? I wanted to win the rush to expert challenge after expert status was released in jge- i thought id get the angel wings people got as a gift that used to pay to play, since jge started pay to play. Gracielo could solo in a spot in the 100+ maps since I had capped his evasion with equips. Only crap wings were rewarded though.

Last year I tried sotnw. Rushed my family to expert night and day in the paydungeon, and figured sotnw sucked- no updates?! and too many ppl with attitude problems. Quit.

Funny how Im now thinking of going Sge maybe, maybe not.

Wherever u choose to play GE I hope u have fun, although this game really goes stale without regular updates.
