Only the strong would survive, the weak would perish...civil unrest would be an understatement Even if what the OP said did somehow happen we still wouldn't be without electricity unless in some equally bizarre twist every portable generator, every drop of fuel, and every ounce of water in which hydroelectric power is abundant suddenly popped out of existence. To have a nuclear explosion that could wipe out, i believe it was 99% of machines capable of producing electricity, being able to plug in your night-light would be the least of your concerns i assure you...the fallout would kill almost every living thing on the planet anyways.
