I just bought a Maxtor 3200 USB external harddrive yesterday. The 30 gigs on my laptop became to annoying trying to manage with my large amount of games that I would like to play. I was wondering what disadvantages there would be from playing games off this harddrive rather then the harddrive on my laptop? Im not a hardware guy personally so leave the "stupid question, isnt it obvious" type things to a bare minimum please
.The harddrive I bought: http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/st...&cmArea=SEARCH |

The connection from the external HD to the laptop isn't as fast as the internal drives connection, but unless you regularly do full (no-cd required) installs, you won't really notice much of a difference. Loading will be a fair bit slower, but other than that it'll all be good.
