So I've been think about this, and reading a bit too. Cryonics means, freezing an animal or a human with intentions of future revival.

As some of you may know, we can cryopreserve humans, but there is still no way to reverse the process.
My question is, do you believe that we will be able to do so in the future? And how far in the future? Discuss.

I think not so long ago someone tried to do that but it didn't work. I think it's still on the process. Not sure what was the name though...

It's hard to say, with everything it's trial and error.

I would sign up for it, but knowing my luck i'll be eighty-five before i croak, get frozen, have a successful de-thaw, only to kick over three minutes later.

I don't really know If I would apply for Cryonics...It's really uncertain, but then again you either get buried and never get revived again, or you get frozen and might get a chance to get back to life in the future. But it's all speculation.

Well think about it...what's there to lose if you're frozen? Either way, your dead. Just one way you might be able to be alive again eventually.

That was my point. If I do get the money I think I might adopt cryonics for my end of life. It's still too soon to think about those issues tough.

if they freeze you after ur dead, theres no way to bring a "person" back to life, you can probably bring back a vegetable-like person, but not a person with a mind. if you get frozen before ur dead, and if they can freeze you faster than the cold can kill you, then defreeze you faster than the cold can kill you and before the heat can kill you without destroying brain cells, you might have a chance to live. but that involves high speed freezing/defreezing systems that we dont have. with our current cryogenics technology, every single one of those ppl in those frozen tubes are dead. end of story.

If you read that wiki page, you will realize that in the future it might be possible to use the frozen brain and the dead body structure to replicate the human.
When replicating the brain, it will also replicate the persons personality and memories.

Cryogenics are simply a way to waste all the money when you die so your family can't have it. Seriously, it's a scam. Even if they did make a future medicine that could bring you back to life, your body is pretty much destroyed from this. I'm never going to buy into something this stupid. I'll go the opposite and be cremated actually.
