It really depends you know. If cash shop provides a way to be much better through buying items that have an influence over the gameplay, then alot of people will be pissed off. Not everyone is able to buy the same items, so it's not fair. Otherwise, I see no problem.

Exactly as astro said.

The point of a game is to have fun furthering throught the story of Universe on your own; however, by adding a cash shop which makes it easier on the player, it ruins the whole gameplay ellude and thus, to other, seems like legal cheating.

It'd be like, for instance, in BF2, if I shot someone I wouldn't want him to just pop right back up beacuse he paid for an instant revitalization.

Cash shops are only good in game like Second life or if the developers take good care to keep the cash shop from severly interfering with the actual game.

In many games having a private "cash shop" is illegal by it's TOA, one of the reasons that we don't allow people to post that stuff here.

I think by cash shop he means buying items for real money on the official site.

I could agree with you there, maybe to combat inflation in Maple perhaps (Meaning you will shell a fortune for cash items)

Yes, Astro and ncyphe are spot on.

Why bother looking for items or exploring the world when you can 'buy' your way into it.

Cash shops, to me, are the equivalent of a video-game pimp.
