I searched this site, Google, and browsed through the SoF Forums (I can't search there) looking for an answer, but since I found nothing helpful, I thought I'd try a post here.

The problem, quite simply, is that I always get a weird error when I click the confirm button: "You may not use this particular letter combination."

I have no idea which box this is referring to, nor any idea why it might be happening. I'm not using any odd characters (except "-"s for my phone number) either. I've made sure to confirm my desired username, and have even tried it using multiple browsers (IE & Safari) to no avail.

Any ideas?

Try not to add the -, and maybe ur name is taken...

Edit: It can't be that... hmm... maybe... noo... I dunnoo...

Removing the "-"s so that there were no spaces just caused it to ask me to reinput my phone number, and adding in spaces did nothing either.

Pretty strange...

(###) ### #### and (###)###-#### didn't work. (###)####### seems to work, but that weird "You may not use this particular letter combination." continues to bug me.

Might just be broken I guess?

just make a phony phone number then... a 416 number...

Tried a variety of different combinations in all sorts of boxes and I've always either been asked to reinput something for a whatever field (and it would automatically bring me to where the error occurred) or get that same "You may not use this particular letter combination." at which point the page refreshes and all fields are reset.

Very disappointing, but I think I'll just e-mail their support and go from there. Thanks for trying at least.
