www.bootleggers.us
This a text based game in it's beta stage. However, it is already a brilliant game. In December 2005 it dominated the 'Game of the month' competition at www.mpogd.com, and is currently repeating the feat as we speak. Bootleggers is a mafia rpg set in the 1930's, players must rob banks, do organised crimes with other players, kill other players, bootleg booze across the US to suceed as a top don, then stay at the top for aslong as possible. Optional things such as crews are open for you, once you join all features are there to be explained in more detail. The game has a great community spirit, with lively forums and a wide range of nationalities playing. Bootleggers is free, but add ons known as points can be purchased. On bootleggers my name is Clive, if you join, feel free to ask me any questions if you get stuck. |

Already a text based mafia game? Heh, these things are a dime a dozen.
Theres loads of them out there, and they all play more or less the same. I've nothing against text-based games, in fact I quite like them. But within the mafia/gangster genre there is just no variety. |
