There'll still be a new GW chapter this year, Anet's business model is based on box sales and not subscriptions so they'll need to come out with new campaigns periodically.

I can't really recall where I read it but the six-month release schedule for chapters has been moved to 9 months. So instead of of April this year, we may have it released by July or later... remember around this same time last year, we already knew stuff about Factions which was due out April 2006.

This delayed release coincides with a recent press statement (the one where they showed NCSoft sales) that a "major update" was due for Guild Wars in the second half of 2007. People have argued that "update" meant something like Sorrow's Furnace or Domain of Anguish, others say that update=new chapter. Guess we'll just have to wait for it then. And hope it'll be great and fun, whatever it is.

And we were really supposed to have a weaponless martial artist profession, but it eventually was developed into the Assassin. Well maybe there will be in the future, I'd like to see that too
