The example I used has happened many times all over the US, and the parents of the drowned child wins, every time. Its like the atricle I read where a guy got lockjaw from a rusty jagged screw while breaking into a department store at night. Even though he was convicted of theft, he made a lawsuite against the owners of the store and won, cause it was their neglect to keep and maintain the store in a 100% safe and operational capacity. In the case of the pools and the drowned children. It is also considered neglect, on the side of the pool owner. How so? I really dont know. I just know that it has happened many times and the outcome was always the same. |

Its a popular game in asia alot of people play it
They even have warnings when you log out "Please log out of your account on the website, you might get hacked" im guessing you need to login the website on the other versions of yulgang, using sso to start the game... They just translated that to english, instead of getting rid of that same with the kssn crap to delete your char Its like half done, then again its still close beta. These makers of this game are just to careful, they dont wanna get sued over a kid having a heart attack while playing this game. |

How so? By lowering your house insurance premium?
If you interpreted my point like that, you must be reading something that is not there. My point is, no matter what, you still have the same chance of getting sued with or without the sign. There is no "less likely" in my post at all. |

This is about warning labels, like the example with the computer mouse (mine also had a warning). A warning label on a product is not the same as a 'No Trespassing' sign and fence around your pool. People aren't sneaking onto NetGame's property to play Scions of Fate and suffer hand cramps and eye strain. It's a product/service. If a manufacturer includes an adequate warning as to risks posed by a particular product, they can avoid lawsuits. It's as if they are saying to you, "if you do x, y could happen". Whether or not you pay attention is up to you, but if you disregard an adequate warning and end up injured, you will have a hard time trying to make a case against the company because they did their duty to inform you of the risk. That's not the company's negligence, it's your own. These days many products include some kind of warning label. Often times they are warnings against things that probably no one would ever do, but people are so quick to sue that manufacturers try to reduce liability. It results in a lot of ridiculous warning labels, like this one for Scions of Fate.

of course, they COULD say that the player MAY NOT sue in the terms of agreement if their body got harmed because they put in all those warnings, but who ever reads all of that -.- also you dont actually make your body get harmed for playing for a long time. just a REALLY long time like beyond 24 hours straight. but i dont think thatll ever happen because all youll harm is your wallet out of that mostly because youd fall asleep before you could ever turn it off.
