Just let him do what he wants. Putting online would be somewhat complicated. I will rate your work so do your best =)

Well acually, ive played a 2d FPS. It was coded with BYOND (a 2d online game engine). The map would change every step, which created ALOT of lag, but it was the first 2d FPS ive seen.

Well, not completely 3D.

It was one of the first to use 3D mapping. Everything else, however, was 2D vectoring.

Non-the-less. Bad example.
