I posted here a year or so back trying to see if anyone remembered this game I played back around 2001 but no luck and I'm still trying to find it. I'll describe what I remember as best I can but it will be very vague.

I don't have a clue as to what the name was. It was very dark looking, 2D-overview strategy-type game similar to Travian in the way you control cells, gather resources and expand (The cells were octagon-shaped) except it wasn't browser-based. Persistent online multilayer world that would continue to play out even when you weren't logged in, and.. If you entered an invalid user name/password when logging in there was a pig-squealing sound.

Very vague I know but that's all I recall. Hopefully someone remembers this because I remember how much fun it was to play.
