To be safe, I'd like you to test your processor using:

And post your results. Use SandraLite, there is a download link at the bottom of the table. It sounds like you ran the appropriate tests and this will just verify that it's not the worst situation out of them all. You might want to test your graphics card while you're at it. I'm pretty sure you can do that with Sandra as well.
